"Good morning, Jim. What you're
looking at is a signet ring with the embossed design of a cobra. It
is the symbol and passkey of an organization known as "Golden
Serpent," a notorious Southeast Asian triad. The Golden Serpent
has expanded its worldwide drug smuggling operations, and uses the
revenue from drugs to gain control over Third World nations. We've
already lost the leader of another IM team to the Golden Serpent, but
one of that team has managed to infiltrate and gain the trust of the
organization, and has remained undetected for almost three months.
While the identity of the man who heads the Golden Serpent is still
unknown, our agent has been working for its most important member,
Prince Selimun, ruler of the small southeast Asian country of Bnarli.
The enormous cash flow from his drug-running operation is essential
to the Golden Serpent. Without it, they would be unable to operate.
Your mission, Jim, should you choose to accept it, is to bring the
Prince and the leader of the Golden Serpent to justice, and to obtain
details of their international distribution network. We believe the
Golden Serpent ring may be the key to that information. As always,
should you or any of your IM team be caught or killed, the Secretary
will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This disc will self-destruct
in five seconds. Good luck, Jim."

for the Golden Serpent triad running drugs. Complicating matters,
Grant's father Barney has already infiltrated Selimun's operation,
but is captured and the team must weigh whether to help him or
complete the mission.

The Princess
October 5, 1989
"Good morning, Jim. Elaine Murtcheson
was the daughter of the United States ambassador to the small
European principality of Valance, where she met and fell in love with
Prince Arkadi, the country's ruler. They were married late last year.
Valance has for many years been allied to the Warsaw Pact nations.
Because of Elaine's influence, and his increasing exposure to
American ways, Prince Arkadi has begun to negotiate an alliance with
the West, and has begun the democratization of his own country. This
alliance would include a new American naval base in Valance Harbor,
greatly improve our deterrent capability in Europe, and help to
maintain peace and stability in the area, none of which would suit
this man: Grigor Caron, a rabid anti-American and leader of a group
known as The Valance Red Guard. Caron is dedicated to preventing the
Prince's alliance with the West. We believe he has offered a million
dollars to employ an assassin to kill Princess Elaine, as the first
step in a campaign of terror against the Prince. Your mission, Jim,
should you decide to accept it, is to prevent the assassination and
to bring Caron to justice. As always, should you or any of your IM
Force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge
of your actions. This disc will self-destruct in five seconds. Good
luck, Jim."

Command Performance
October 12, 1989
"Good morning, Jim. Defense Minister
Ivan Savitch, operating without the consent of one of the few freely
elected Prime Ministers in the Baltic region, is responsible for the
death or imprisonment of over one hundred dissidents. Leading the
fight against him is Father Thomas Vallis, a Catholic priest and
fervent opposer of Savitch, who has organized workers and general
strikes and openly attacked Savitch's ruthless policies. Two days
ago, a man broke into the National Museum and stole the Cross of
Saint Boniface. Ivan Savitch is aware that the missing cross
represents a thousand years of his country's history, but he wants
the cross for other reasons. He has learned that hidden inside this
cross is information which proves the atrocities he has committed.
Savitch believes Father Vallis knows the whereabouts of the cross.
He's placed the priest in the country's most notorious prison, known
as The Tower, where he has vowed to keep him until he talks or dies.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to rescue Father
Thomas Vallis from The Tower Prison, and help him retrieve the Cross
of Saint Boniface. As always, should you or any of your IM Force be
caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your
actions. This disc will self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck, Jim."

Countdown
October 26, 1989
"Good morning, Jim. The Asian country
of Qong Ji is controlled by a government of military strongmen. This
is General Vang Kai. The ultimate power he seeks is control of the
whole country. This he will never achieve while rivals stand in his
way, but now Vang Kai has possession of a stolen nuclear warhead. By
exploding this low-yield weapon in the heart of a city, Vang Kai
plans to obliterate the entire government of Qong Ji. Using this
destruction of human lives, he will emerge as undisputed leader,
blaming the catastrophe on the United States. Vang Kai's plan depends
upon this woman, a beautiful but deadly terrorist called Su Lin. It
was she who organized the theft of the weapon. Su Lin is that most
feared of all terrorists, the religious zealot. She is a devotee of
the religious leader known as "The Holy One", exiled for
life by the present regime. In exchange for her help, Vang Kai has
agreed to allow The Holy One to return to the country. Su Lin will go
to any lengths to achieve this. She has undertaken to place the
nuclear device in the capital and to arm it. Your mission, Jim,
should you choose to accept it, is to find that nuclear device before
it detonates, and to put an end to Vang Kai's evil plans. As always,
if you or any of your IM Force should be caught or killed, the
Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This disc will

War Games
November 2, 1989
"Good morning, Jim. The Middle
European country of Sardavia has, over the last few years, increased
the size of its armed forces out of all proportion to its economic or
strategic necessities. Since this man, General Eli Szabos, gained
control of the military, he has constantly clashed with the ruling
Politburo, and we believe he is planning an invasion of the
neighboring country Bukharin, which is rich in oil reserves. This
attack would be carried out under the cover of the war games that
Sardavia is holding close to the Bukharinian border. We also believe
Szabos has long-range hidden on this base for a first-strike
capacity. Your mission, Jim, should you decide to accept it, is to
prevent the invasion of Bukharin and the domino effect it would have
on world peace by exposing General Szabos' plans and frustrating his
evil ambitions forever. As always, if you or any of your IM Force
should be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge
of your actions. This disc will self-destruct in five seconds. Good

Target Earth
November 9, 1989
"Good morning, Jim. We believe that
the disappearance of a man might have compromised the security of the
entire world. Daniel Bergerac was the lead pilot for the first
private manned venture into space. He was to command Frontier I,
owned and operated by the EuroSpace Consortium, a multibillion dollar
company. Officially, Bergerac is listed as missing, but we think he
might have met with foul play. EuroSpace had leased a piece of
Australian outback, built a private base, and they're planning to
launch very shortly. The Frontier I is designed for using a
super-laser in space, clearing cosmic debris, helping build a new
space lab, test-drilling mineral bodies, constructing an orbiting
chemical lab. It could be the future of mankind in space, but in the
wrong hands, it could be the vehicle to a new dimension in terror.
Your mission, Jim, should you choose to accept it, is to make sure
that Frontier I is not being used in a terrorist plot to threaten
targets on Earth from space. As always, should you or any member of
your IM Force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any
knowledge of your actions. This disc will self-destruct in five
seconds. Good luck, Jim."

The Fuehrer's Children
November 16, 1989
"Good morning, Jim. This is Richard
Kester, a fanatical neo-Nazi and leader of the White Peoples
Coalition, a group that secretly advocates the violent overthrow of
our government. In the past few years, Kester's organization has
grown at an alarming rate, and they are no longer considered just a
fringe group, but a major threat. A string of armored car and bank
robberies has financed a number of Kester's terrorist activities,
including the hanging of Gerard Mercer, a government agent who
infiltrated the White Peoples Coalition. Kester is on the verge of
becoming the leader of like-minded neo-Nazi groups throughout the
world. He is going to attend a three-day meeting in Germany, where
his proposal will be voted on by the heads of other neo-Nazi groups.
Kester is by far the most violent of all the world's neo-Nazi
leaders. If he should be elected, a reign of terror is sure to
follow. Your mission, Jim, should you choose to accept it, is to
discredit Kester amongst his peers, and bring about the dissolution
of one of the world's most heinous organizations. As always, should
you or any member of your IM Force be caught or killed, the Secretary
will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This disc will

"Good morning, Jim. When this bus
exploded, nine elderly people on a picnic outing lost their lives.
The sectarian hatreds which have torn Ireland over the centuries have
been reignited in Bally Nagragh, with each side accusing the other of
this dreadful act of carnage. Brian McCarron, who purchased a Bally
Nagragh hotel six months ago, is secretly an arms dealer, and has no
compunction in selling to both sides. We believe that McCarron was
responsible for the deaths of the old people, and that this was just
one more foul deed by him to provoke violence and provide a greater
market for his illegal arms. Your mission, should you decide to
accept it, is to bring McCarron to justice, end his trade in arms,
and bring the warring factions of Bally Nagragh to the conference
table. As always, should you or any of your IM Force be caught or

For Art's Sake
December 14, 1989
"Good morning, Jim. Two nights ago, a
priceless painting on loan to the Manhattan Museum of Art was stolen,
and a guard murdered in the process. The painting taken was a
national treasure of San Marcos, a state in Central America. It
depicts their patron saint, and has religious and patriotic
associations of vast importance to them. The loss of the painting
will be seen as a catastrophe for which the United States will be
held to blame. The man we believe devised the whole plan is the
Minister for Culture - which really means "propaganda". His
name is Rafael Ocha. He is ambitious to gain more power. The theft
itself could be the work of this man, Daniel Travers. It seems that
what Travers can't buy, he steals. We suspect he financed his way
into the hotel business by stealing and dealing art to the
underground market. Your mission, Jim, should you decide to accept
it, is to find the stolen Montoya painting, thus preserve the good
name of the United States among the people of San Marcos, bring
Daniel Travers to justice, and restore to the world the masterpieces
he has stolen over the years. As always, should you or any of your IM
Force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any knowledge
of your actions. This disc will self-destruct in five seconds. Good
luck, Jim."

Deadly Harvest
January 6, 1990
"Good morning, Jim. The man you are
looking at is Joussef K., Minister for Science and Development in the
country of Orambaq. K. is a terrorist who has formulated a blackmail
scheme directed against the United States, which he believes will
ingratiate him with his rules, and make Orambaq feared throughout the
western world. Jared, a protege of K., had worked for several years
in Orambaq developing a virulent genetic virus capable of destroying
a nation's total wheat harvest. He came to the United States seeking
advanced technology, and found it with the unsuspecting help of
geneticist Laurel Taylor. She is now dead. K.'s plans to release the
virus into the American wheat belt were temporarily thwarted by a
laboratory fire which left Jared horribly disfigured. He is now
recovering in a Washington, DC hospital, after having undergone
extensive plastic surgery. Your mission, Jim, should you choose to
accept it, is to destroy this insidious project at its base in
Orambaq. As always, should you or any of your IM Force be caught or

Cargo Cult
January 13, 1990
"Good morning, Jim. On the surface,
the Pacific island republic of New Belgium appears to be a jungle
paradise. But hundreds of villagers in the highlands have died
recently, under mysterious circumstances. For centuries, the
inaccessibly dense jungle has protected these simple hill people from
wanton exploitation by outsiders. But now, if reports are correct,
the discovery of gold in this area may have changed that. We suspect
that the villagers are being poisoned by contact with cyanide. Proper
usage of cyanide is part of the most efficient method of extracting
gold, but outlawed methods which exposure workers to the chemical can
be deadly. To the New Belgium government, where corruption and
bribery is so rife, this inhumanity is simply overlooked. Your
mission, Jim, should you decide to accept it, is to stop this
genocide of one of the few remaining Stone Age peoples. As always,
should you or any member of the IM Force be caught or killed, the
Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This disc will

The Assassin
January 20, 1990
"Good morning, Jim. During the past
year, there has been a succession of high-level assassinations around
the world. In each case, the assassin has been someone placed close
to the victim: advisors, private secretaries, government officials.
Not one of these assassins has been interrogated, because none has
been captured alive. All have died immediately after the killings.
The similarities between these events lead us to believe that one
sinister force may be behind them all. If this is so, then the world
is now at the mercy of a killing technique with the power to bypass
even the tightest security measures now protecting heads of state.
Your mission, Jim, should you decide to accept it, is to uncover this
deadly operation, put an end to it. As always, should you or any of
your IM Force be caught or killed, the Secretary will disavow any
knowledge of your actions. This disc will self-destruct in five

Gunslinger
February 3, 1990
"Good morning, Jim. The town of
Pontiac is a clever re-creation of a Western gold-mining town of the
1800s, a successful and profitable tourist resort owned and operated
by one-time US Congressman Ian McClintock. Although McClintock has
retired from public life, his influence and power seem to be
undiminished. He is wealthy, well-connected, and respected by his
former associates. This man, Abel Russell, was an undercover FBI
agent, part of a team investigating suspected American support for
foreign terrorists. Last month, Russell disappeared after reporting
that he was following a lead in the town of Pontiac. Police and FBI
investigation can find no evidence of his whereabouts. We now believe
that McClintock may be selling weapons to European terrorists, but
his reputation and political connections make investigation both
difficult and sensitive. Your mission, Jim, should you decide to
accept it, is to discover whether McClintock is dealing with
terrorists, whether he had any part in the death of Russell, and, if
he is guilty, bring him to justice. As always, should you or any
member of your IM team be caught or killed, the Secretary will

Church Bells in Bogota
February 10, 1990
"Good morning, Jim. Bogota, Colombia
was once called "the Athens of Latin America", but it is
now a city under siege. The drug lords have declared war on the
government. The horrifying murder of Judge Juan Silvero shocked the
entire population of Colombia. The person responsible for this
heinous crime is Esteban Magdalena. With the killing of Judge
Silvero, Magdalena has stepped up his campaign of terror, and his
vicious tactics now threaten the very existence of the Colombian
government. Magdalena's connection to the flow of cocaine to the
United States is well-documented, but Colombian police and military
forces have been unable to extradite him. Your mission, Jim, should
you choose to accept it, is to prevent Magdalena from overthrowing
the Colombian government by returning him to the United States where
he will stand trial. As always, should you or any of your IM Force be

She is brought to the druglord, and his nephew sees this as an
opportunity to woo her, and eventually he proposes to her. She says

The Sands of Seth
February 24, 1990
"Good afternoon, Jim. In the last
several months, a number of high officials in the Egyptian government
have died horrible deaths by strangulation. The latest to die was
Anwar Farthay. His behind-the-scenes power brokering helped put Egypt
on the road to a new level of negotiation with Israel and several
radical Arab states. We believe that this man, Horace Selim, is
somehow connected to the deaths. A director of the prestigious Museum
of the Ancients, he has used his high-profile job to create antipathy
toward government policies and believes Egypt should return to the
greatness of its past, a past he oversees at his museum. Your
mission, Jim, should you decide to accept it, is to determine Selim's
guilt, and put a stop to the killings before they put a stop to the
US peace effort presently underway to calm the volatile Middle East.
As always, should you or any of your IM Force be caught or killed,
the Secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This disc

When several progressive Egyptian leaders
are killed, the IMF team is sent to stop the head of the department
for ancient studies at the Cairo museum. It turns out that he has
revived the cult of Seth, with sacrificial ceremonies. His henchman
has been impersonating a mummy to kill anyone who might talk. Jim,
Shannon and Max pose as part of a dig, claiming they have found
important relics from the original worship of Seth, while Nicholas
and Grant try to break the trust between the leader and his
followers. But Grant is caught and is scheduled to be the next
sacrifice. Last show of the series.
