en route to the mint is hijacked by well armed robbers, and Lois Lane
is trapped in the runaway locomotive. This looks like a job for
Superman. January 9, 1942.
An expedition unearths a
frozen Tyrannosaurus in the Siberian tundra and brings it back to the
USA. Naturally, it accidentally thaws and runs amok. Can Superman
handle it? February 27, 1942.
Extortionists with a
super-powerful bullet-shaped flying rocket car threaten destruction
to Metropolis. At first they seem to defeat even Superman, but their
capture of Lois Lane spurs him to new efforts. March 27, 1942.
An experimental
"magnetic telescope" draws down a fireball from space.
Despite warnings, the callous "professor" tries it again,
this time on a full-fledged comet. Even Superman is unable to halt
its mighty momentum. Is Metropolis doomed?

A mad scientist attempts to
blow up Manhattan. Lois Lane investigates and Superman saves the day.

A deadly eruption is
predicted on the inhabited island of Monokoa. Daily Planet reporters
Clark and Lois accompany an expedition to study it, and of course
Lois is quickly in danger from lava. July 17, 1942.
While Clark and Lois are
reviewing a circus, "Gigantic" the gorilla escapes and
endangers Lois. In the resulting chaos, other dangerous animals
escape also. Is this a job for Superman? August 26, 1942.
American industry builds a
gigantic new bomber and Lois Lane stows away on the test flight;
little does she suspect, Japanese spies are aboard to hijack the
giant. Superman to the rescue? September 18, 1942.
"Friend turned foe" reads the
newspaper headline. But Lois Lane suspects there's more to the story
of Superman turning into a jewel thief and bank robber. And, of
course, Clark Kent, knows it can't be true. But someone is out there
committing crimes--and he's doing it dressed like Superman. October
16, 1942.
Superman is responsible for
several acts of sabotage at the Yokohama Navy Yard in Japan. Lois
Lane is held hostage but Superman saves the day. Animation by William

A murder at the Metropolis
Munitions plant draws Lois Lane into the thick of a sabotage plot;
she ends up inside a torpedo about to be tested. Meanwhile, where is
Superman? December 25, 1942.
After famed Egyptologist
Dr. Jordan is found dead at the foot of King Tut's sarcophagus with a
syringe by his side, his assistant Jane Hogan is charged with
poisoning him. But is it murder or the mummy's curse? February 19, 1943.
A jungle temple with hooded
priest is really a Nazi military base which downs a plane bearing
Lois Lane and some secret plans. Can Superman save her from human
sacrifice? March 26, 1943.
Lois Lane and an explorer
set out on an expedition through an underground cavern and discover a
race of hawk-men. When these creatures prepare a ritual sacrifice for
the adventurous pair, Superman comes to the rescue. June 18, 1943.
Clark Kent helps a pretty blonde Federal
agent escape a gang of Nazi saboteurs, and lets himself be captured
to learn their plans. The blonde, pursued again, falls into the gears
of a drawbridge. This is the only short that Lois Lane doesn't appear
in. The female federal agent looks identical to Lois (just with
blonde hair) and is also voiced by Joan Alexander. July
30, 1943.
