About this movie:
Brother Rat is a 1938 film about cadets at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia, directed by William Keighley and starring Priscilla Lane and Wayne Morris. The film also featured Eddie Albert as well as Ronald Reagan, who met the actress Jane Wyman while working on the film, whom he later married.

The title refers to the term used for cadets in their first year at the Institute. Scenes of the film were shot on site in Lexington on the Institute's historic Parade Ground, and the baseball game scene was filmed at Alumni Memorial Field.

This film was followed by a sequel in 1940, Brother Rat and a Baby, which also featured Priscilla Lane, Wayne Morris, Ronald Reagan, Eddie Albert, and Jane Wyman.

BETTY'S ATTIC

Betty's Attic is a division of The Johnson Smith Company, one of America's oldest catalogs companies. In 1905, their founder, Alfred Johnson Smith, started selling his novelties and practical jokes in Australia. The company was officially founded in the U.S.A. in 1914. In 1998, they added Betty's Attic to their family of catalogs, hoping to inspire and thrill even more American households. With its nostalgic and limited edition merchandise, Betty's Attic is a natural fit for the Johnson Smith Company. Its appeal is limitless, from "baby boomers" hoping to find items that remind them of times past to twenty-somethings admiring the atmosphere of another generation.
