The mad dog character was the fictional hero that Bob Newhart’s character drew on the short lived CBS-TV sitcom, Bob.
Mad Dog ran six issues, it was a flip-book with two stories per issue.
Bob McKay’s benevolent Mad Dog stops a pop icon from promoting cigarettes to children, while the 1990’s vigilante Mad Dog shows a corporation which experiments on animals the error of its ways. Written by Evan Dorkin and Ty Templeton. Art by Gordon Purcell, Ty Templeton, Ian Akin and Jeff Albrecht. Covers by Purcell and Akin, and Templeton. Cover price $1.25.
